Introducing Know Your Meme Dispatches

Meme Dispatches are short video clips made by members of the Know Your Meme community that help explain and define a meme.

We’ll be releasing new Dispatches on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the rest of the year.

First up: Chrismenning explains Mudkips!

Do you want to make your own KYM Dispatch?

1. Choose a meme that you’d like to explain and read up on its entry on the meme database so that you have a clear understanding of your subject.

2. Practice your lines and try to get the video down to between 60-90 seconds.

3. If you have any images that you’d like to show, print them out and hold them up to the camera.

4. Don’t feel like you have to go crazy on the editing. Jump-cuts are fine, but we’re not looking for a summer blockbuster.

5. Post it to the forums at http://knowyourmeme.com/forums If we like it, we’ll add it to the meme’s entry in the MemeDB.
